About Professional Development

The NCCSE cabinet, composed of Special Education Directors from each of our districts, is committed to having a comprehensive program of workshops that respond to the concerns of parents as well as staff members. Each year, the staff development committee meets to identify the needs of our consortium and plans meaningful programs that will address those needs. Our program offerings are diverse, from educating parents and staff members that work with students with Autism to the latest information on IEP issues. As school begins each year, NCCSE posts the Professional Development Opportunities. The website contains workshops that have been planned for the school year, adding more as district's needs arise.

Professional Development Provider

We are an approved continuing education provider for the following boards:

  • CA Speech-Language Pathology Board
  • Behavior Analyst Certification Board
  • National Association of School Psychologists

Documentation of Attendance

When available, documentation of attendance will be sent to participants who attend our workshops in their entirety. Partial credit will not be provided. It is the participant's responsibility to sign-in and out and complete an evaluation form. Usually, documentation of attendance is sent via email to participants who complete all requirements within one week of the training date.
